300 metres of grounding houseboat pontoons.
-
A range of tubular steel pontoons were designed at various lengths between 25 and 37 metres to fit in with odd distanced piles.
-
The pontoons all had large diameter ‘elephants feet’ so that the boat deck remained at the same freeboard whether the houseboats are afloat or aground.
-
The pontoon installation also doubles as a ferry stop point on the River Thames.
